Oooh, 2006 has been good to me, as I've discovered another tag team partner as deeply connected to downtempo as I am: Moto, from Berlin.  Perhaps because our shared love of the genre made it almost too easy to create a satisfying tag team mix, we challenged ourselves by using the latest version of the MixMeister Studio program (Fusion) to create this particular set.  Once again, I'm obliged to say, if you hear something exceptional going on, you can most likely credit Moto's skills ....

For this one, I teamed up with a DJ from the Brighton area in Britain, David Stillman, who performs under the nom de musique "The A.o.E." which stands for The Accumulation of Everything ... in Stilly I found a kindred spirit and we proceeded to craft one of the most emotionally charged mixes I've ever heard ... the moderate use of overlay techniques adds a bit of spice to the blend but the awesome selecting carries the weight on this set:

Cappuccino on the Rocks: NeoFlava vs. MmeFLY - TagTeam 

Now this set is indeed a testament to the connecting power of the internet as well as the power of music to bridge all the gaps of age, gender, distance and time:  NeoFlava, a Sri Lankan attending university in Singapore teamed up with me in a one-on-one tag team ... another one where there is a fairly wide array of musical styles represented, and one where there was extensive use of overlays hyping up the selecting ... I believe the closing 10 minutes of this set are just extraordinary ... Neo took a spoken word overlay I contributed and tweaked it to raise the level of drama significantly ... this one gives me shivers :)
